The Datafication Methodology

August 2016 – The growth in messaging apps has been a quiet revolution in the world of marketing. Australians have changed the way they interact with social media and in particular, messaging platforms. Very little research has been done on this shift, until now. This year we decided to take a deeper look into how Australians are using messaging apps.

With the ever so slight problem that messaging apps are securely encrypted, we had to get a little creative with our data collection to build a reliable data set. Here’s how we did it in one simple graphic.
